Two MINIATURA 9 grants awarded to the Hirszfeld Institute

On Wednesday 25 June, the National Science Centre announced the results of the MINIATURA 9 competition, for applications submitted to the NSC in March. Funding was awarded to 65 scientific activities for a total of almost PLN 2.6 million. We are pleased to announce that two scientists from the Hirszfeld Institute were among the winners:

  • Ewa Jończyk-Matysiak, PhD, DSc (Bacteriophage Laboratory), project: „Investigating the pathways of Escherichia coli-specific bacteriophage endocytosis by intestinal epithelial cells”, awarded funding: PLN 49,560
  • Anna Chudzik, PhD (Laboratory of Medical Microbiology), project: „Evaluation of the activity of extracellular vesicles of the skin microbiota against pathogenic Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus”, awarded funding: PLN 49,560
