On 19-21 November 2025, the first National Congress ‘Science for Business’ was held at the EXPO XXI centre in Warsaw – the largest nationwide event to date dedicated to cooperation between the worlds of science, business and public administration. The congress attracted thousands of participants and became an important forum for discussions on technological sovereignty, innovation and shortening the path ‘from idea to industry’.
The topics were dominated by issues related to security, the development of modern technologies and the building of sustainable models of cooperation between scientific and economic communities. The special guest of the event was astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, PhD, who emphasised the key role of space technologies in building national security.
The Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences was represented at the congress by its director, Prof. Andrzej Gamian. The Institute’s participation in the event is part of its commitment to developing cooperation between science and business, as it is a beneficiary of the ‘Science4Business – Nauka dla Biznesu’ project, which supports the commercialisation of research results and technology transfer.
