We are proud and delighted to announce that the Minister of Science and Higher Education has decided to assign scientific categories in the various scientific and artistic disciplines in which the evaluated entities of the higher education and science system have conducted research.
Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy, Polish Academy of Sciences has been awarded scientific category A in the discipline of biological sciences and scientific category A+ in the discipline of medical sciences.
Decisions on the awarding of scientific categories, along with the rationale, will be delivered to the respective institutions by July 31, 2026.

Pursuant to Article 267(1) of the Act of July 20, 2018, on Higher Education and Science, the basic evaluation criteria are:
- I – the scientific level of research activities
- II – the financial outcomes of scientific research and development work
- III – the impact of scientific activity on the functioning of society and the economy.
