The Department of Anthropology at the IIET PAS in Wrocław is conducting a study into the long-term outcomes of individuals who took part in the Wrocław ‘Pupil Health Card’ surveys in 1996-1997.

The aim of the project is to analyse the relationships between health, living conditions, education and family circumstances during adolescence and the participants’ subsequent health, educational attainment and employment status. The study will also provide a better understanding of the experiences of a generation that came of age during the social and economic transformations of the 1990s.

Taking part involves completing a short, anonymous online questionnaire, which takes around 3-5 minutes to complete. The questionnaire is available via the Microsoft Forms platform.

Anyone who took part in the ‘Pupil Health Card’ study in Wrocław and was around 14 years old at the time is asked to contact us at: roczniki1980-1983@hirszfeld.pl. A link to the questionnaire will be sent in reply.

The study is being carried out as part of project no. 2024/53/B/HS6/02058 entitled ‘Mobile Polish Society. Longitudinal research on predictors of selective social mobility’, funded by the National Science Centre under the OPUS 27 call for proposals.
