Prof. Dr. Krystyna Dabrowska, Dr. Anna Pawlik and Dr. Ewa Brzozowska with nominations to the AcademiaNet database

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Krystyna Dabrowska, head of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Bacteriophages, Dr. Anna Pawlik, head of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Microorganisms, and Dr. Ewa Brzozowska from the Laboratory of Medical Microbiology have been nominated by the Council of the National Science Center to the AcademiaNet database, a portal presenting profiles of outstanding women scientists. The main criterion for nomination was scientific excellence and outstanding achievements in the field of science represented by the female researchers.

Nominations to the database are submitted by leading European scientific, grant-giving institutions such as the European Research Council (ERC), the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) and the Max Planck Society. Within Polish organizations, nominations are granted by the National Science Center and the Foundation for Polish Science. Presentation of the silhouette in the AcademiaNet database is not only a recognition of scientific work, but also an opportunity to promote the Hirszfeld Institute and the research conducted there internationally.
