On 10 October this year, Prof. Jolanta Łukasiewicz, head of the Laboratory of Microbial Immunochemistry and Vaccines at IIET PAS, completed her second term as Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs. Prof. Łukasz Łaczmański, head of the Genomics and Bioinformatics Laboratory at IIET PAS, was elected as her new deputy. We would like to thank the outgoing Director for eight years of intensive work, sharing her expertise and serving on numerous committees. Her commitment has translated, among other things, into exemplary preparation of the Institute for the evaluation of scientific entities, in which IIET PAS was awarded category A+ in the discipline of medical sciences and category A in the discipline of biological sciences. We wish the new Director the best of luck in his new role and a fruitful next four years!
