The Discipline Coordinators of the National Science Center presented the ranking list of research projects qualified for funding under the JPIAMR ACTION Call 2024 (IMPACT) competition announced by NCN in cooperation with the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR) network on January 10, 2024. A total of 44 applications involving teams from Poland were submitted in the competition, of which 12 were qualified for the second stage of the competition. Three projects involving Poles were targeted for funding, including the PHASEK project “Combination of bacteriophages and other antimicrobial agents as a strategy against multidrug-resistant E. coli and K. pneumoniae bacteria,” which is coordinated on the Polish side by Prof. Krystyna Dabrowska, head of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Bacteriophages. The amount awarded for the grant is PLN 1,251,700. Our sincere congratulations!
