The National Science Centre has settled the results of the SONATA 20 competition. We are proud to announce that four grants involving scientists from the Hirszfeld Institute were among the winning projects.
Funding was awarded to the following projects:
„The Power of Relationships: Lessons from Tanzanian Ethnic Groups” – project leader: Piotr Fedurek, PhD (Department of Anthropology), awarded funding: PLN 1,356,640;
„Gliadin deamidation by bacterial transglutaminases: significance in the pathogenesis of celiac disease” – project leader: Eva Krzyżewska-Dudek, PhD (Laboratory of Medical Microbiology), awarded funding: PLN 1,622,960
„Antibacterial molecules based on bacteriophage proteins and constant antibody fragments with therapeutic potential for the treatment of bacterial infections” – project leader: Karolina Filik-Matyjaszczyk, PhD (Laboratory of Medical Microbiology), awarded funding: PLN 1,775,100;
„Development of cIAP1-targeting CDK4/6 degraders (PROTACs) containing a phosphoroorganic warhead (POWERTAP)” – project leader: Agnieszka Łupicka-Słowik, PhD (Wrocław University of Science and Technology), project manager at IIET PAS: Mateusz Psurski, PhD, Eng (Laboratory of Experimental Anticancer Therapy), project implemented in a consortium of Wrocław University of Science and Technology (leader) and IIET PAS, awarded funding: PLN 973 330.
