Dr hab. Sabina Górska laureatką międzynarodowego projektu w ramach konkursu OPUS 28+LAP/Weave

We are proud to announce that Sabina Górska, PhD, DSc (Laboratory of Microbiome Immunobiology) has been awarded funding for an international project within the OPUS 28+LAP/Weave competition funded by the National Science Centre (2,103,280 PLN) and the Czech Science Foundation (1,079,265 PLN). The project entitled: “The role of the sinus microbiota in modulating airway immunity and allergic inflammation” will be carried out in collaboration with Dr Sudhanshu Shekhar from the Institute of Microbiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Dr Sudhanshu Shekhar worked for many years at the University of Oslo, where he worked on the role of commensal bacteria in the induction of protective immunity against pneumococcal pneumonia. Working together, they may make a breakthrough in understanding how the microbiota of people with chronic sinusitis influences the formation of airway immunity and the development of allergic alveolitis.

Congratulations!
