Another round of MINIATURA grants for researchers from the IIET PAS

The coordinators of the National Science Centre today presented the third ranking list of projects eligible for funding under the MINIATURA 9 competition. We are proud to announce that three more projects by researchers from the Hirszfeld Institute have been recognised:

  • Daria Artyszuk, PhD (Laboratory of Microbial Immunochemistry and Vaccines): ‘Identification of gene clusters responsible for the biosynthesis of Flavonifractor plautii virulence factors with potential significance in the aetiology of inflammatory bowel disease’, funding awarded: PLN 49,999;
  • Jagoda Siemaszko, PhD (Laboratory of Clinical Immunogenetics and Pharmacogenetics): ‘Genetic and functional determinants of NK cell activity in allogeneic haematopoietic cell transplantation – the role of NKG2E, NKG2F, KLRG1 receptors and the CD107a molecule’, funding awarded: PLN 49,830;
  • Weronika Jasińska, PhD (Laboratory of Medical Microbiology): ‘Temperature-induced metabolic changes in pathogens: molecular analysis of bacterial response to fever’, funding awarded: PLN 49,995.
