The latest edition of the prestigious World’s Top 2% Scientists ranking includes four scientists from the Ludwik Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The ‘Career’ list, covering the entire scientific career, includes:
– Prof. Krystyna Dąbrowska (Laboratory of Phage Molecular Biology),
– Prof. Joanna Wietrzyk (Laboratory of Experimental Anticancer Therapy).
In the second list – ‘Single year’ (for 2024), which takes into account achievements from the last calendar year, three researchers were distinguished:
– Prof. Krystyna Dąbrowska (Laboratory of Phage Molecular Biology),
– Prof. Sławomir Kozieł (Department of Anthropology),
– Prof. Aleksandra Klimczak (Laboratory of Biology of Stem and Neoplastic Cells).
The World’s Top 2% Scientists ranking is based on bibliometric indicators such as the Hirsch index, number of citations, and authors’ contribution to publications, and includes scientists from various fields whose work has the greatest impact on the development of global science. The list is compiled by a team from Stanford University, in collaboration with Elsevier and the Scopus database.
