Ludwik Hirszfeld Day celebrations
On Thursday, October 16, the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences will commemorate Ludwik Hirszfeld Day. This will be the twelfth such celebration. The celebrations will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Prof. Stefan Ślopek Auditorium.
Ludwik Hirszfeld Day programme:
- Inauguration of the academic year at the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences
- Danuta Duś, PhD, DSc – remembrance
- Inaugural lecture entitled ‘From concept to clinic – a story about CAR-T therapy’ by Prof. Lidia Karabon, PhD, DSc, head of the Laboratory of Genetics and Epigenetics of Human Diseases
- The oath-taking ceremony for students of the Wrocław Doctoral School of Institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences
- Presentation of doctoral and postdoctoral diplomas
- Presentation of awards by the Director of the IIET PAS
- Presentation of jubilee diplomas for professional work
- Jubilee of 50 years of professional work at the IIET PAS
- Occasional lecture entitled ‘A work of art that brings true glory to Polish painting, or how the Panorama of the Battle of Racławice was created’ by Anna Jezierska, curator at the National Museum in Wrocław
- End of the ceremony
