The National Science Centre has published the results of the MINIATURA 9 competition for applications submitted in June 2025. We are pleased to announce that two researchers from the Hirszfeld Institute are among the winners:

– Anna Bereźnicka, PhD (Glycobiology Laboratory): ‘The role of glycosyltransferase degradation in glycomic formation: deciphering Gb3/CD77 synthase degradation and its biological consequences’, funding awarded: PLN 49,999;

– Michał Wójcicki, PhD, Eng (Bacteriophage Laboratory): ‘Development of a collection of lytic bacteriophages specific to autochthonous strains of Listeria monocytogenes isolated from fish products and their production environment in Poland’, funding awarded: PLN 49,980.
