We are pleased to announce that the Ludwik Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences has become the honorary patron of the Med Smart Science Forum, a conference that will bring together medicine, science, and technology on 6–7 November in Warsaw and online.
The forum was established to create a space for discussions on how data can change the quality of healthcare, scientific research, and diagnostics, and how modern analytical tools and artificial intelligence make it possible to introduce real innovations into everyday practice.
The Med Smart Science Forum stands out for its focus on practical implementations and specific examples of applications. During the conference, participants will be able to learn about examples of predictive models, artificial intelligence algorithms, and digital twin simulations in hospitals and research institutions, as well as find out how data from various sources – from genomics and medical images to data from wearable devices – is integrated. The forum is not only a presentation of new technologies, but also an answer to questions about ethics, security, and legal compliance in the area of medical data.
The Med Smart Science Forum Programme Council, comprising representatives of Poland’s leading institutions involved in digital medicine, clinical research, and technology development, oversees the substantive content of the event. These experts represent, among others, the Children’s Memorial Health Institute, the National Institute of Oncology, the Medical Research Agency, the Wrocław Medical University, the Silesian University of Technology, the Medical University of Łódź, the Military Medical Institute, and the Medical University of Gdańsk. The IIET PAS is represented by Edyta Pawlak, MD, PhD, DSc, Prof. PAS. Such a broad institutional base guarantees the highest level of expertise and makes the Med Smart Science Forum a unique event on a national scale.
