1st EV4 Extracellular Vesicles in Visegrad Collaboration Conference

21-22 October 2026, Budapest, Hungary

It is our pleasure to announce that Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy is the co-organizer of this first Visegrad EV-focused conference, a joint event for researchers from the Czech, Polish, Slovak and Hungarian scientific societies of extracellular vesicles and beyond. The topics will include:

  • Cell biology of extracellular vesicle release, uptake and signal transduction
  • EVs as therapeutics, including efficacy, safety and EVs as delivery systems
  • EV-based diagnostic applications
  • EVs in specific disease conditions, including cancer and cardiovascular diseases
  • Extracellular vesicles originating from non-mammalian and non-animal sources
  • New technologies related to extracellular vesicles, including isolation, characterisation, engineering, and synthetic EV-mimetics
  • Other topics related to extracellular vesicles

The meeting will bring together researchers from all career stages, with a special focus on young researchers to meet and share their knowledge and expertise, offering a unique opportunity for regional cross-border scientific exchange and cooperation. One of the key aims of the event is to establish the basis of a strong international cooperation in extracellular vesicle research throughout the V4 countries and beyond. Through keynote talks, oral presentations, poster sessions and social events, the conference will support the initiation of joint research projects, cross-border initiatives and long-term scientific collaborations.
