We are pleased to announce that Patrycja Burzyńska, PhD, from the Glycobiology Laboratory at the IIET PAS was honoured at the 7th Polish Congress of Genetics, organised by the Polish Genetic Society and the Polish Society of Human Genetics. The event took place from 21 to 24 September 2026 at the Centre for Teaching and Research of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences.

Dr Patrycja Burzyńska received the award for her presentation entitled “Sialic acid specificity of Erythrocyte Binding Antigen 140 orthologues in human- and ape-infective Laverania species.”
