Reaserchers and doctoral students at the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapeutics have published a paper in the Journal of Nanobiotechnology

A paper was published in the Journal of Nanobiotechnology (IF 10.2, MEiN point 140), in which the leading contributions were made by employees and doctoral students of our Institute: Anna Wróblewska, M.D., Bozena Szermer-Olearnik, M.Sc., Agnieszka Szczygieł, M.Sc., Katarzyna Węgierek-Ciura, M.Sc., Jagoda Mierzejewska, M.Sc., Roksana Kruszakin, M.Sc., Pawel Migdal, M.Sc., and Elzbieta Pajtasz-Piasecka, M.D., Ph. The paper outlines the potential of macrophages as carriers of boron-rich nanoparticles for use in boron-neutron cancer therapy (BNCT).

The work was created in a multi-center collaboration with the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and the Institute of Catalysis and Surface Physicochemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow and was funded by the National Science Center (OPUS 17 2019/33/B/NZ5/02212, Preludium 21 2022/45/N/NZ5/03204).
