How do great scientific discoveries affect our lives? How do they change our everyday life? How do we explain scientifically the questions raised by the world around us?
Sabina Górska, PhD, head of the Laboratory of Microbiome Immunobiology, and Anna Apanasewicz, PhD, from the Department of Anthropology were guests in the podcast series „O co chodzi z tą nauką?” broadcast on Polish Radio Four.
Ms. Górska touched on the topic of colds. Why do most colds occur during the autumn-winter season? Is it due to the cold that colds occur? Where do viruses lurk and where do runny noses and coughs come from?
Ms. Apanasewicz, on the other hand, answered a number of questions related to life expectancy. Will we be immortal? Who are the record holders in life expectancy? Why can our metric age differ from our biological age, and which organ of our body ages the fastest?
Answers to the questions can be found in the November 11 and November 25 episodes of the podcast.
