Tram named after Hanna and Ludwik Hirszfeld

We are pleased to announce that this Friday Ludwik and Hanna Hirszfeld will join the ranks of distinguished patrons of Wroclaw trams. The honorable name will be carried by tram moderus Gamma with side number 3307.

The naming ceremony will take place on December 13 at 10:45 am on the side track opposite the ZOO. Our patron’s tram will take us near the first headquarters of the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences at 4 Tytus Chalubinskiego Street, from where we will go on a walk in the footsteps of Ludwik Hirszfeld on the grounds of the Medical University clinics.

The event will culminate with a screening of the film “Mensch” directed by Paweł Wysoczański in the Wiktor Bross Lecture Hall at 66-68 Sklodowska-Curie Street.
