Hirszfeld Institute with OPUS 27 grant

The National Science Center has awarded funding in the amount of PLN 1,994,456 for the project entitled “Cellular and molecular basis of antifungal activity of metallocarboranes against Candida albicans yeast”.

The research will be carried out in 2025-2027 by a consortium consisting of:

  • The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (leader)
  • Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy Polish Academy of Sciences
  • Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology in Warsaw
  • John Paul II Bialska Academy in Biała Podlaska

The project manager is Konrad Kubinski, DSc, from the Department of Molecular Biology at the Catholic University of Lublin. The person responsible for the project on behalf of IIET PAS is Tomasz Goszczyński, DSc, head of the Biomedical Chemistry Laboratory.
