Sabina Górska, PhD, DSc, panelist at the 34th Economic Forum in Karpacz

During the 34th Economic Forum in Karpacz, Sabina Górska, PhD, DSc, head of the Laboratory of Microbiome Immunobiology at the IIET PAS, took part in a panel discussion entitled ‘Science in action. From basic research to practical solutions’, at the invitation of the National Science Centre.

Together with Prof. Piotr Garstecki (Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences), Prof. Jacek Jemielity (University of Warsaw), and Alicja Kazek-Kęsik, PhD, DSc, Eng (Silesian University of Technology, member of the NSC Council), they discussed the role of basic research in creating innovation. They highlighted key areas in which Polish scientists have an advantage, pointed out the strengths and weaknesses of innovation implementation in Poland, and shared their thoughts on innovation ecosystems in other countries around the world.
