Michał Wójcicki, Ph.D., Eng., of the Bacteriophage Laboratory received the First-Class Scientific Award of the Polish Society of Microbiologists named after Prof. Edmund Mikulaszek for young researchers for a series of three original papers published between 2024–2025 on the biological activity and genomic analysis of new virulent bacteriophages specific to bacilli of the genera Salmonella, Serratia, and Enterobacter.

During the 30th Jubilee Congress of the Polish Society of Microbiologists, to be held September 24–26, 2026, in Katowice, an official awards ceremony will take place, combined with a lecture by the laureate from our Institute.
