Exhibition “Ludwik Hirszfeld – Polish researcher of blood groups” in Paris

The Scientific Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Paris, in cooperation with the Institut Polonais de Paris, invites to an evening dedicated to the life and achievements of Ludwik Hirszfeld, an outstanding Polish bacteriologist and immunologist, nominated in 1950 for the Nobel Prize in Medicine for his explanation of the phenomenon of serological conflict between mother and fetus.

The exhibition will be available from 28.05-30.08.2024 at the Paris Scientific Station of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The exhibition will open with a lecture by Bogumiła Szponar, PhD, from the Laboratory of Medical Microbiology at IIET PAS. The program also includes a screening of the film “Mensch” directed by Pawel Wysoczanski and a meeting with the filmmaker.
