Mateusz Noszka, PhD, receives the Prime Minister’s Award

Laboratorium Biologii Molekularnej Mikroorganizmów

We are pleased to announce that Mateusz Noszka, PhD was among the 25 winners of the 33rd edition of the Prime Minister’s Award competition in the category for an outstanding doctoral dissertation. He completed his doctoral dissertation, titled “Characterization of CemR regulons of selected pathogenic Campylobacter species,” at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Microorganisms under the supervision of Prof. Anna Pawlik. He conducted research aimed at identifying and characterizing the HP1021, Cj1608, and Abu0127 regulons. He utilized omics techniques (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, and LC-MS/MS) and confirmed some of the results obtained by conducting appropriate phenotypic experiments. In summary, Mateusz Noszka’s research highlights the key role of CemR regulators in physiological processes, including adaptation to environmental conditions, in selected Campylobacter species.

It is worth noting that Mateusz Noszka’s dissertation has already been recognized. He received an honorable mention in the Drabikowski Competition in the category for the best doctoral dissertation in biochemistry defended in 2025, organized by the Polish Biochemical Society.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations.
