Ludwik Hirszfeld Day celebrations
On Thursday, October 15, the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences will commemorate Ludwik Hirszfeld Day. The ceremony will take place for the thirteenth time. The celebrations will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Prof. Stefan Ślopek Auditorium.
Ludwik Hirszfeld Day programme:
- Inauguration of the academic year at the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences
- Inaugural lecture entitled ‘A conversation that lasts a lifetime. How the microbiota and the immune system communicate at the molecular level’, to be delivered by Prof. Sabina Górska – Head of the Laboratory of Microbiome Immunobiology at the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences
- The oath-taking ceremony for students of the Doctoral School of the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy, Polish Academy of Sciences
- Presentation of doctoral and postdoctoral diplomas
- Presentation of awards by the Director of the IIET PAS
- Presentation of jubilee diplomas for professional work
- Jubilee of 50 years of professional work at the IIET PAS
- Occasional lecture entitled ‘Is there life in glaciers? The Arctic through the eyes of a hydrogeologist’, to be delivered by Prof. Henryk Marszałek – Head of the Department of Applied Hydrogeology, Institute of Geological Sciences, Faculty of Earth Sciences and Environmental Management, University of Wrocław
