On 8 June 2026, the Ludwik Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences will host a nationwide debate on the future of modern cancer therapies and the development of innovative medical technologies funded under the National Recovery Plan (KPO).
The conference, organised as part of the National Week of KPO Projects in Healthcare, will bring together leading experts from the worlds of science and medicine, clinicians, representatives of patient organisations, and institutions involved in the development of modern therapies in Poland.
The event’s theme is: ‘Modern cancer therapies — from academic research to patient care’. The programme includes expert lectures, panel discussions and talks focusing on the groundbreaking CAR-T and TCR-T cell therapies, as well as modern targeted therapies for the treatment of bladder cancer.
One of the key highlights of the event will be the signing of the Agreement on the establishment of the Academic Network of ATMP Manufacturing Laboratories in accordance with GMP standards, marking an important step in building a national infrastructure for the development and production of advanced medical therapies.
The conference will provide a forum for discussion on the future of modern medical therapies and the role of academic research in bringing innovative solutions into clinical practice.
